Where to go when you have problem on what to wear? LOOKBOOK! So basically, this site is all about fashion! Different clothes, shoes and accessories are posted here. When one hears fashion, one thing that immediately enters in his or her mind is it’s for girls ONLY. Well, they’re wrong. This also features various trendy and classic outfits for guys. Compare to malls, this is much cheaper since all you have to do is to sit in front of your desktops or lappies, type in lookbook.nu, sign in, and browse as long as you want. Moreover, you’d not exert a lot of effort walking around just to grab new styles.
Lookbook is open to all. Anyone could pin there outfits here. In fact, almost each country has its own representative. With that having said, Philippines has its own ambassadresses too! To name some, we have trisha Gosingtian, Camille Co and Laureen Uy. Obviously, from their names, I assume their half Filipina-half Chinese. I have nothing against that however, I am not really into the beauty of those who have mixed race. What really interest me the most are the black beauty full-blooded Filipinas. From that, I really idolize Junina popularly known as “Hey June”, a 22-year old Filipina who do a lot of fashion blogging especially in YouTube.
Both her parents are from our beloved country. Her mom is from Abra and her dad is from Mindoro.
In her younger brother’s video blog (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxBPt494lsQ), she described them as “Mountain Girl” and “Island Boy”, respectively. She was raised and is currently residing in Australia where she’s taking up her medicine course (This made me to adore her even more). She visits her family in the country every year. In fact, she was here last Christmas. So technically, there’s a chance I could meet her. Anyway, I think she’s the eldest among her two siblings, one guy and one girl.
So how did I know this person? Basically, from my “My Ombre Hair” blog, my older sister introduced her to me via sending some of her lookbook links. She used her site to suggest trendy and cost-effective outfits. Aside from clothes, she also records make-up and hair tutorials (that’s where I thought of doing my ombre hair). Not just that, she also do video blogs as in answering fans’ questions (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z68AAjlkU20), sharing her favorites and doing hauls, or out of boredom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6U5gnxwVGY).
Indeed, I really consider her as a legit fashion guru! A POSH lady I could never ever forget.
